Welcome to the* Polar Plunge: The Charleston Chiller!* This is the third year for the plunge in the Capital City, and we hope that you and your friends, family, and co-workers will join us for this fun and entertaining event. The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics West Virginia by jumping or slowly crawling into the frigid pool waters set up inside Appalachian Power Park on February 7th. We promise that we'll have the water nice and cold just for you!

If your family and friends are too chicken to take the plunge, have them show their support by making a pledge to a braver soul and invite them to watch all of the exciting action in person at the ball park (the jumbo scoreboard will be on to capture every single plunge!). So grab a towel and grab a friend and be included in the second group of folks to plunge in Charleston.

Once you complete the plunge, we'll have a warm clubhouse available for you to change clothes and then join us for a party at the Power Alley Grill. All proceeds collected by plungers benefit Special Olympics West Virginia athletes participating in the annual Summer Games in Charleston.
